JUST A PHASE

Or a phrase
Vibrating
In the air,
A loon’s cry,
A rabbits’
Paradise
Of grass sans
Predator,
Woodpecker’s
Heaven of
Hard knocks in
The morning
Before alarms
Have sounded,
Deer among
Trees they think
Are the world
And will be
As long as
They can stand,
Hear, smell, see
